Water damage restoration: Water extraction
Water damage is nothing desirable and it can be a rather large pain in the neck. I had to deal with the water damage once when I returned home during the winter months after about a week on vacation, and I discovered a pipe had frozen and then burst in the basement. For anyone else who has suffered through this sort of water damage, there is nothing worse than a pipe burst, and short of a full flood and heavy storms, there isn’t much that can relate to this sort of plumbing leak issue. As soon as I walked down to the basement, I discovered this and know I had to find a way to correct the situation – I grabbed the phone and made a single phone call to a water damage restoration company.
Even though it was in the middle of the night, the service department answered and I told them what was going on and that I required assistance right away. They ended up sending out a crew who reach me in under an hour, and they went about the process right away of first shutting off the pipe and extracting the water. The water extraction did take some time, but they wanted to make sure everything was dry before moving on. The basement flood cleanup proceeded without a hitch and now I have my home back to normal.
